The Many Faces of Ithaca, NY

Whether you're looking to attend one of the colleges or just to enjoy a weekend away, Ithaca is the perfect location. Located about 4 hours from NYC, Ithaca is located in the Finger Lake region and contains many of nature's beautiful secrets, the first established wine trail, a college town voted #1 for multiple years in a row and plenty of locally made shops and restaurants.

Taughannock Falls

Taughannock Falls State Park, Trumansburg, NY, United States

Taughannock falls is my favorite of the local waterfalls. Located about 15-20 minutes outside of the town of Ithaca. There's an overhead view, more difficult rim trail and 1 mile flat walking trail to the bottom (pictured above). Beautiful in all seasons!

Buttermilk Falls

Buttermilk Falls State Park, East Buttermilk Falls Road, Ithaca, NY, United States

Buttermilk Falls state park is probably the most popular of the local waterfalls due to its close proximity. It contains a big waterfall at the bottom as well as a full trail of waterfalls leading up to the upper section of the park. There is also a more intense rim trail with less views of waterfall. Access to the trails are at the bottom parking as well as through the Upper Buttermilk parking.

Ithaca Beer Company

Ithaca Beer Co, Ithaca Beer Drive, Ithaca, NY, United States

Amazing food and great beer! Very fun atmosphere, yard games, food trucks and a beer garden outside in the summer!

Cayuga Ridge Winery

Cayuga Ridge Estate Winery, New York 89, Ovid, NY, United States

Always a favorite winery on the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail which was the first established wine trail in the country!! They have great wines served by friendly bartenders in an old barn. They also have a wood fired pizza oven from Spring-Late fall!

While traveling up to Caygua Ridge, be sure to stop into the many other wineries and cideries in the area! There's plenty up and down the trail. Some of my favorites include: Americana Vineyards, Lucas Vineyards, Finger Lakes Cider House, Thirsty Owl Wine Company, Swedish Hill Vineyards and many many more!

Stewart Park at Cayuga Lake

Stewart Park, James L Gibbs Drive, Ithaca, NY, United States

Perfect for sunset watching, strolls around the park, grilling, picnics, hammock hanging and just hanging around!

Ithaca Commons

Ithaca Commons, East Martin Luther King Jr. Street, Ithaca, NY, United States

The Ithaca Commons a 4 block pedestrian shopping area with over 100 local, unique shops, restaurants and bars. Its home to some of my favorite restaurants including Viva Tacqueria, Ithaca Ale House, Taste of Thai, Just a Taste, Luna's Street Food and many more! Be sure to plan your trip around one of our famous festivals include Apple Harvest Fest, Downtown Chili cook-off, Ithaca Festival, Wizarding Weekend, Winter Festival and more!
