My honeymoon in October 2016, to Cape Town, Sabi Sands, and Victoria Falls. We did our trip in 12 days, with 5 nights in Cape Town, 3 nights on safari, and 3 nights in Victoria Falls.

Table Mountain

Table Mountain, Cape Town, South Africa

Table Mountain is one of the top sites in Cape Town, since it is the backdrop of the city skyline. The lines for the funicular were very long, so I would definitely go early. We hiked up the mountain, and there were a few different trails. Once we got to the top, the views were beautiful. There's a spot with food, drinks, bathrooms, and a shop. We took the funicular back down.

Boulder Beach

Boulders Beach, Kleintuin Road, Cape Town, South Africa

Boulder Beach is a quick stop along the way to the Cape of Good Hope. I would do a day trip that includes this, the garden, and the Cape. It's a great site to see the penguins!

Cape of Good Hope

Cape of Good Hope, Cape Town, South Africa

The Cape of Good Hope was beautiful. Our day trip stopped here for about an hour or so. We walked to the top and then down, but there is a tram if you need. Beautiful scenery and cliffs.

Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden

Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, Rhodes Drive, Cape Town, South Africa

Kirstenbosch is a national garden, and it has such gorgeous surroundings! We did a quick stop here, but well worth it.

Lion's Head

Lion's Head, Cape Town, South Africa

Must see! If you can only fit in Table Mountain or Lion's Head, I would definitely recommend Lion's Head. It was much less touristy. We had a beautiful hike to the top of the mountain. Definitely a bit more difficult than I was expecting, but a total wonder in Cape Town.

V&A Waterfront

V&A Waterfront, Cape Town, South Africa

The V&A Waterfront is a touristy part of the city, but a great area with restaurants and shops along the water. We came here for lunch and dinner a few times, since our hotel was right here. Lots of outdoor dining to enjoy the water views.

The Shortmarket Club

The Shortmarket Club, Shortmarket Street, Cape Town, South Africa

Amazing food! I would definitely recommend going to one of this famous chef's restaurants while in the area. Kloof Street also has a ton of bars right near here.

Winery Tour - Franschhoek & Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa

Gorgeous sites and beautiful vineyards. We did a day trip to the two towns and went to 3 different vineyards. Some people choose to stay over at a bed & breakfast, but since it was a short drive from Cape Town we chose the day trip.

Camps Bay

Camps Bay, Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa

Camps Bay is an area of Cape Town along the beach. There are a ton of restaurants and hotels in the area and it's a beautiful area to relax.

La Mouette

La Mouette Restaurant, Regent Road, Cape Town, South Africa

La Mouette was an amazing restaurant with a delicious tasting menu. We had a lo of fun here and it was a great experience.

Mount Nelson Hotel

Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel, Orange Street, Cape Town, South Africa

The Mount Nelson Hotel is a beautiful old hotel. We came here for afternoon tea and then walked around the grounds and hotel.

Sabi Sands

Sabi Sand Game Reserve, Kruger Park, Mpumalanga, South Africa

We were on safari for 3 days and it was as amazing as everyone says. Every day, we were fed 9 times, given 2 game drives, enjoyed time at the pool, and had much relaxation. We saw every animal imaginable, it was a once in a lifetime experience. The service at the safaris is top notch. We did game walks and when we had drives at night, they brought snacks and drinks. Truly incredible!

Devil's Pool

Victoria Falls, Kazungula, Southern Province, Zambia

Since we flew in on the Zambia side of the city, we went straight to Devil's Pool. We were there in October when the falls were dry and were able to sit at the edge of the waterfall. I would recommend going here, specifically for this excursion.

Rafting at the Falls

Victoria Falls, Matabeleland North Province, Zimbabwe

After seeing the falls from the top, we wanted to see them from the bottom. We went rafting at the bottom and got to swim beneath the waterfalls. We jumped and hiked through the rocks.

Boma Dinner

Victoria Falls, Matabeleland North Province, Zimbabwe

Boma was a fun dinner with dancing, local foods, and lots of playing of the drums! We had a great time here where they dressed us up and painted our faces.

Sunset Cruise

Victoria Falls, Matabeleland North Province, Zimbabwe

We took a sunset cruise one of the nights we were in Zimbabwe. We met a lot of different people and saw lots of different animals. It was a fun trip.
