Quick Trip to Miami Florida

I went to Miami for a quick work trip and decided to extend my visit an extra day to relax and see what Miami has to offer. I was only here for three days - I will most definitely be back! I stayed at the Soho Beach House but ventured off to Brickell to check out the up and coming neighborhood and shopping.

Soho Beach House

Soho Beach House, Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL, United States

The Soho Beach House is amazing! Unfortunately, the pool was being renovated while I was here so I spent my down time beachside on a comfy day bed. The food is great here! The beach side menu is on the casual side compared to Level 3 and Cecconi's - I ordered a cold brew with almond milk and a tuna poke bowl, highly recommend the tuna if you like raw fish! PS - they don't have Matcha here which I thought was interesting since NY and most of the other houses do. There's a small gym here which was a nice addition since the NY house doesn't have one.

Cecconi's

Cecconi's, Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL, United States

Dinner at Cecconi's (the restaurant at Soho Beach House) was good. It's basically trendy/expensive Italian food. You can't go wrong with anything truffle, or cacio e pepe - both solid choices! The Miami location was better then the Brooklyn one in my opinion. I went for an early dinner and did not have a reservation - if you plan on going during prime time, I would suggest making one.

Brickell City Center

Brickell City Centre, South Miami Avenue, Miami, FL, United States

AMAZING shopping! Basically, every designer store you can think of, is here. Saks Fifth Avenue, Chopard, Sephora, Intermix, etc... Oh, they also have a drybar which worked out really well for a quick fix before running to a work event! The half indoor/outdoor shopping center was very cool - I believe there were at least 4 floors.

Dr Smood

Dr Smood - Brickell Organic Cafe, South Miami Avenue, Miami, FL, United States

Organic/Vegan/GF! Love Dr Smood for a morning (or afternoon) Matcha! Located in the Brickell City Center on level 3.

Colorful Streets of Wynwood

Wynwood Art Walk, Northwest 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL, United States

Awesome part of Miami (it reminds me a little bit of Brooklyn - hipster and young vibes)! When I come back to Miami, I would love to spend more time in this neighborhood. There's a ton of street art, some cool breweries, foodie restaurants and a relatively young crowd. The colorful streets are amazing, you can get some great pictures here. If you want to do the art walk, I believe they only take place on Saturdays. I was also told that every second Saturday is supposed to be extra special since they incorporates fashion, style and food to the walk. I wish I was here for that!
