Quick Spain Recap

As I look back on this past month in Pamplona, Spain, I am feeling extremely blessed. This program was intense due to the many hours of class and activites; however, I feel I have grown a great deal in my language skills and world view in a very short amount of time. I visited some beautiful beaches, hiked some one of a kind trails, and met some incredible people. Gracias a ti Pamplona, por todo<3

Pamplona, Spain

Pamplona, Spain

The beautiful city where I spent the majority of my time on my trip.

La Universidad de Navarra

La universidad de navarra, pamplona, spain

Sixty in-class hours later...

[Special thanks to my awesome professor, Antoni; my TA (and bestie Espanola), Irene; and my classmates from the University of Michigan for helping me improve my Spanish!!]

San Juan de Gaztelugatxe

San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, Spain

This was a stunning Game of Thrones filming site. We also went into the city of Bilbao to visit the Guggenheim Museum. It was such a unique experience!

San Sebastian

San Sebastián, Spain

The breathtaking beach of San Sebastian- would be a dream to have a vacation home here

La Plaza de Toros

La plaza de toros, pamplona

Pamplona is a city known throughout the world for el Encierro (the Running of the Bulls) and la Corrida (bull fighting). Even though the bull fighting is a little gruesome, it was so cool to visit the site where it all happens. Thanks Hemingway for putting this city on the map!!

Olite, Spain

El castillo de olite

I had the opportunity to explore this unique castle in Olite. It is surrounded by beautiful scenery in the countryside of Spain.

Bayonne, France

Bayonne, France

I took a short side trip to Bayonne, France with my friends Christina, Eric, and Irene. It is a quaint little city in France with old beauty and lots of Basque culture.

Biarritz, France

Biarritz, France

An incredible beach on the southern coast of France with gorgeous views and great food (crepes!!!).

El Camino del Santiago

Puente la Reina, Spain

The last activity I participated in during my study abroad was El Camino del Santiago. It is the pilgrimage of St. James, which runs throughout all of Spain. We only hiked to the Puenta la Reina; however, it was a total of seventeen miles. A very peaceful way to end my last day in Pamplona.
