My husband and I went on a weekend vacation to Newport for my birthday. I've been going for my whole life and it's one of my favorite places! We went in October so the weather was fantastic (sunny and warm!). These are some of our favorite spots!

Bayberry Inn

Bayberry Inn of Newport, Kay Street, Newport, RI, United States

A little boutique B&B in walking distance to shops & restaurants. It was super cute and we loved our stay here! The hosts were incredible & theres an adorable little garden out back with a firepit. Great for the evening.

Bayberry Inn

The food here was INCREDIBLE. So delicious. Every morning there was a buffet with homeade granola, yogurt from a local creamery, baked goods, and offered a hot breakfast plate. But it wasn't a gross buffet - it was amazing every time! Definitely recommend staying here.

Ocean Drive

Brenton Point State Park, Newport, RI, United States

This is a must if you are visiting Newport. There are these massive rocks on the shore of the ocean that you can walk on and the view is incredible. One of my favorite places - we go everytime. It's also a great place for barbecuing (they have bbq pits), flying kites, and having a picnic!

White Horse Tavern

White Horse Tavern, Marlborough Street, Newport, RI, United States

Incredible food at this rustic and quaint tavern. Within walking distance from the Bayberry Inn (about half a mile).

Clarke Cookhouse

Clarke Cooke House, Bannister's Wharf, Newport, RI, United States

Great dinner here - definitely recommend the brussel sprout caesar salad and the duck! Upscale place with a more romantic atmosphere. It's in the heart of downtown Newport so there are so many shops and things to do around here!

Newport Mansions

Newport Mansions Preservation Society, Bellevue Avenue, Newport, RI, United States

You have to go see one of the famous Newport mansions. They are the most insane homes you will ever see in your life. These houses were the summer homes of old money from the Gilded Age (the Vanderbilt's, the Belmont's, etc.)
