Bachelor Pad

Hooked Cabarete Surf & Kite Camp, Calle los Cocos, Cabarete, Dominican Republic

Hooked cabarate was a very friendly hotel/ hostel that worked with us to accommodate 11 guys for a bachelor party. The owner was very helpful in advice on where to eat and what to do.

Pros- awesome vibes, pool with lounge chairs, very affordable, walking distance to surfing beach.

Cons- need transportation to get to and from town, no restaurant so you have to go out to eat.

Scooter/ Bike Rental

5, Cabarete 57000, Dominican Republic

Scooter/ Bike Rental in town was a MUST. $15/$20 per day for 3-4 days during our Bach party was awesome. There are plenty of places that have bikes. If you bargain you can get a deal like we did. I'd recommend wearing a helmet as some of us had a little "too much" fun. It's safe to drive these Scooters everywhere, except at night when the bars let out and/or in the middle of La Cabarete Town can be a little hectic mid day.

Biking around exploring the neighborhood was so easy with these bikes. Highly Recommended.

Surf Board Rental

Unnamed Road, 57000, Dominican Republic

Surfboard Rental for Cheap!!! There are a few surf shops next to each other here for between $8-$15 for the day. Boards range from high-performance short-boards to Soft-Top Longboards.

This is the best place to surf in the area and has many peaks incase the line-up gets a little crowded.

The shop's surfboard instructors run the shop and can safely hold your belongings while you surf. They also have a ping-pong table incase you need a break between sessions or just want to get out of the sun.

Fishing Trip in Sosua

Sosua Game Fishing, Sosúa, Puerto Plata Province, Dominican Republic

Fishing Trip out of Sosua into the Ocean. On this particular day, we were slow to move from a Late-Night so hopped on the Big Boat about 8am. The Boat was about $40/PP and included a light lunch and beers and water. We didn't make it to the set destination because some members of our crew starting getting sea sick, but they stopped at a few snorkeling spots and provided us with snorkeling gear which was a blast.

The Boat crew was very professional and accommodating for our sea-sick buddies. I'd highly recommend bringing Dramamine or taking it easy night before if you are going with a large group to settle your stomach for a bit of a bumpy ride in the water.
