3 Days Eating, Drinking, and Walking through Copenhagen

My best friend and I had three days to spend in Copenhagen, and we spent most of it walking, eating, and drinking. We went in September, and it was a bit chilly, so layers were essential. Copenhagen is charming, small, yet there's so much to see and do. Everyone speaks English, which is so nice being a tourist. The Danes practice "hygge" which basically means coming together and relaxing.

Hotel Skt. Annae

Hotel Skt. Annæ, Sankt Annæ Plads, Copenhagen, Denmark

This was a charming hotel located right next to Nyhavn (the rows of cute, iconic houses. The lobby was really nice with a big communal area. The rooms were small but as they usually are in Europe. This was a perfect location for us as it was close to the palace, Nyhavn, running paths, and the garden.

The Little Mermaid

The Little Mermaid, Langelinie, København Ø, Denmark

My favorite way to see a city is to run it. You end up wandering, getting lost, and discovering. I ran from our hotel up the canal to see The Little Mermaid. She's small, yet mighty, and a great sight to see!

Atelier September

Atelier September, Gothersgade, Copenhagen, Denmark

The breakfast at this quaint spot was insanely good and very traditional Scandinavian breakfast. I had some super seedy bread, a cappuccino, an egg, and sliced cheese. The croissants looked insanely good, too.

Ruby

Ruby, Nybrogade, Copenhagen, Denmark

Ruby is one of the best cocktail bars I have ever been to. It felt like a dark, sexy, library. The ambiance and bartenders were also fantastic. Expensive drinks but worth it!

Coffee Collective

Coffee collective, Copenhagen, Denmark

The best coffee in Copenhagen. Period.

Torvehallerne

Torvehallerne, Copenhagen, Denmark

This market is AWESOME. You can get little trinkets and pick from a bunch of different food vendors. We got a bomb sausage, coffee, and a cookie...it was hard to choose though!

Naturbutik

Naturbutikken - Dansk Ornitologisk Forenings butik, Vesterbrogade, København V, Denmark

I'm a sucker for all natural, organic stores so this had my heart in a second. I needed a probiotic...expensive but good in a pinch!

Pate Pate

Paté Paté, Slagterboderne, København V, Denmark

SUCH an amazing meal in Copenhagen. We had amazing wine, in a cozy ambience, and a lot of great shared plates.

Mikkeller Beer

Mikkeller Bar, Viktoriagade, Copenhagen, Denmark

This little brewery was so fun. They make all the beer and they now have locations all over the world!

Norreboro

Nørrebro, Copenhagen, Denmark

This is a cute neighborhood in Copenhagen with cute antique shops and restaurants. Worth going for an afternoon to explore.

The ambience, the food, the service. OMG. By far the best meal we had while in Copenhagen. It was perfection.
